This Training Manual on Media, Freedom of Expression and Digital Rights has been developed for state actors in Guinea-Bissau, in particular the National Media Council (CNCS), the National Regulatory Authority (ARN), the Police, the Armed Forces, the National Human Rights Commission, entities of the Judiciary and the Media Ministry.
This manual provides state actors with a set of tools so that they can increase their knowledge of the role of journalism and the importance of safeguarding the right to freedom of expression, including in the digital space.
The development of this training manual had the technical support of the Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA), as part of the project “Promoting Media Freedom and Access to Quality Information in Guinea-Bissau”, which is being implemented with funding from the European Union.
