RENARC

The National Network of Community Radio and Television Stations (RENARC) is a national network of community media organisations operating across Guinea-Bissau. It works to strengthen community broadcasting and improve access to information for rural and underserved communities.

RENARC promotes the use of community radio and television as tools for local development, civic participation, social inclusion, peacebuilding, and access to information in local languages. The organisation also provides technical guidance and institutional support to community media actors throughout the country.

Vision

A developed Guinean society, characterised by ethical and moral values, based on egalitarianism, freedom, and peace.

Mission

To develop and enhance a general understanding of the concept and role of community radio and television, and to “be the voice of the voiceless” in order to enable access to information for rural or marginalised populations.
