Guinea-Bissau will hold early parliamentary elections on June 4. Twenty parties and two coalitions are running for re-election. The electoral campaign began on May 13 and is due to end on June 2, two days before the vote.
It’s an election that promises to be very competitive and at a time when Guinea-Bissau is experiencing problems with freedom of expression and the press. That’s why media actors and partners have launched an initiative to promote freedom of expression and the press during the electoral process.
The initiative aims to give citizens and journalists access to quality information so that they can make better decisions when making choices.
