On June 23, 2022, the Media Foundation for West Africa and the National Council for Social Communication of Guinea-Bissau initialed a memorandum to implement the project to promote press freedom and access to quality information in Guinea-Bissau.
The National Media Council falls into the categories of state actors, whose mission is to promote peaceful coexistence between the Guinean press and state actors, including the Ministry of the Interior, Defense, the General Staff of the Armed Forces, the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority and other state actors such as the National Human Rights Commission.
The acting President of the National Council for Social Communication Domingos Meta Camará and Project Coordinator Daisy Prempeh signed the memorandum.
